A little bit about me

My name is Eric. Thanks for getting to know me a little bit through these pages. I believe design, when done correctly, helps people. I value the work it takes to create space for designers, for researchers, for teams, for organizations to create meaningful technology that solves real problems.

I believe in building diverse teams that people want to belong to, where they feel they are having an impact, and they are proud of their work. For design teams, this means solving real problems that make the world a better place, and this means having a positive impact on the people that use our products. And I believe in creating an environment where teams feel safe to experiment and learn from each other.

I’ve been west coast based for awhile now, working for great companies in Seattle and San Francisco. I now live in Portland, with my wife and daughter. When I’m not thinking about design, I’m thinking about them. And music.
